The 4th Virtus Workshop by the Sancta Marians was held at Sancta Maria’s School library on March 5th, 2011.
The toys tinkered and the stories charmed!
The children along with their parents enjoyed making toys and listening to stories. Aathira, G-2 was at her demonstrating best when she explained the process of putting the bird in the cage. The audience had a hands on experience of how animation and optical illusion works when they made the revolving wheel with stick figures in different positions.
The stories of ‘The Wise One’, ‘Wee Gillis’ and ‘Horton Hatches an Egg’ transformed the audience to a magical world of fantasy and at the same time leaving them pondering over the understated message in them. As Mrs. Shetty quoted in her concluding words to the parents – “I am a curved mirror. I have no identity of my own, except what you show me.”
The perfect ambience for story telling!
